EUROPEAN TRADE UNION CONFEDERATION

The European Trade Union Confederation, was set a up to promote the interest of working people at the European level and to represent them in the European union institutions.
The ETUC membership comprises 82 National Trade Union Confederations from a total of 36 European countries, and 12 European industry federations, covering some 60 million trade unionists.
Its mission is to create an united Europe, where there is a peace and stability, and where workers and their families are respected human rights, civil, social and employement.
I think that is very important that exist entities of this type, because they help to generate an important stability inside the countries, because it guard over the safety and hapiness of their citizens in all the areas (family, as a workers, etc), which will lead to a very important economic growth.

SORRY DAY

Say sorry is not enough after all the years that the aborigines in australia were abused.

The children were separated from their mothers to be educated as the european wanted, just because they wanted to inculcate their values and work habits. Also to end with their cultures and ''blood'', europeans wanted that children behave like them, and put aside the culture in which they were born.

I think that now days is not useful to say sorry, because the damage was caused, and all the sadness felt by those families to be separated is not going to heal only asking for forgiveness.

When mistakes are committed the best way to repairing them is not committed again, so I thing that is very important that we learn to be respectful with the other, accepting him like he is, without discrimination in issues like color, culture, religion, etc.

    Dowry In India

Originally, the purpose of a dowry was to provide ''seed money''

or property for the stablishment of a new household, to help a husband feed and protect his family and to give the wife and children some support if he were to die.

The dowry is the heritage that the wife or her family deliver to the husband, being in many cases proportionally to the social status of him.

Now days, are some cases of dowry deaths, and this is happend because is another way for empowered males to exert their superiority and power. But another explanation is that every day families and in this specific case men are interested in money, so if their wife die, they can get marry with another woman so they can receive other dowry.

This dowry deaths are explain to the authorities as accidents, and it seems that they don't want to give a lot of importance to the case.
I think that in India the women are not treated as a human beings who have the same rights that men, but they are treated as machines to do children and to give their heritage in the moment that they get marry.

    EXPATRIATE AND MIGRANT

An expatriate is a person who lives in another country different from that of birth, but expatriates don't plan to reside permanently in this new country. They try to maintain their roots, and to guard the citizenship of their origins.
They usually form communities in the country where they live with people who belongs to their original country.
They usually move from their original home because of their work, and new opportunities that exist in other countries.
A migrant usually plan to reside permanently in a new country and acquiring permanent citizenship there, trying to leave behing their roots.

Most of the reason because they migrate are: insecurity, poverty and because in foreign countries exist more opportunities.
Also there are four forms of migration: Voluntary, foced, economic and non ecnomic.

    CULTURE AND ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE

Organizational culture describes the psichology, attitudes, experiences, beliefs and values of an organization. It is also defined as the specific collection of values and norms that are shared by people and groups in an organization. these values and norms show the way how people have to interact with each other and with people from outside of the organization.
The culture of an organization is the result of customs, traditions, procedures and systems with which it operate.
All the organizations have their own personality which makes them different from others.

Culture is the set of all the forms, models or patterns, explicit or implicit, through which a society regulates the behavior of the people that form it. Includes customs, practices, codes, standards and rules of how to be, religion, rituals, norms of behavior and beliefs.
Also refers to the diverse aspects of the life in a certain society.

An example where we can see more easyly the difference between culture and organizational culture:
Renault Bogotá and Renault Medellín are going to have similar organizational culture, because they are in the same country Colombia, here we have the same customs, traditions, behavior, etc, so the culture is going to be the same. But if we compare Renault Colombia and Renault France, we notise that in each country culture is different, rules, norms, behavior, beliefs, etc, but the organizational culture can be the same because thay have the same objectives and they are working under the same parameters.
